Doug Horn

March 27, 1947 — January 14, 2005

HORN, W. DOUG EVP/COO, Air Wisconsin Airlines Corp. Quiet strength is a gift. And like all else in Doug's life, it was something he shared freely with all those around him. He was a gentle man who listened more than he spoke and a man whose giving nature knew no boundaries. Doug was a loving husband, a beloved father, a cherished friend, and a previous Navy man. Commanding, charismatic and eloquent, Doug knew just how to motivate and inspire those around him. When we were with Doug, we were reminded of the depths of human compassion and the heights of human conviction. And although he is no longer of this world, he leaves behind far more than memories. He leaves behind all the lives he has touched and changed through the simple act of knowing him. Doug is survived by Linda Horn, a wife with a spirit as beautiful as his, and three beloved children, Sharon Potter and her husband Greg, Jennifer Horn, and Jason Horn and his partner H.G. Stoval. He is also survived by his sisters Melody Strauss, Anita Kizziar, Carol Barnard, his mother Dorothy J. Horn, and numerous nieces and nephews. And, finally, by his treasured dogs, Bailey and Fiona, who along with his love of Harleys, brought laughter and levity to his live. In addition to family, Doug leaves behind countless friends and colleagues from the airline industry. An accomplished man, his contributions to the industry will always be respected and remembered. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, 2:00 P.M. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. On-line memorials at www.horanandmcconaty.com.
