Douglas Lee Daniels, 70, passed away June 18, 2015. He was born April 20, 1945 in Montebello, California to Opal J. Daniels and Ernest F. Daniels. Douglas is survived by his wife Linda of 33 years, children Darin, Mark, Katelyn and Lauren; grandchildren Chase, Megan, Bri, Rianna and Taylor; his brother Dennis; nephews Greg and Eric. Douglas became a resident of Colorado in 2012 after living in Orange County, California since birth. At a young age his father introduced him to hunting and fishing, he remained an avid outdoorsman throughout his life. A gifted athlete, he played football as quarterback and baseball for the Anaheim High School Colonists. He continued playing baseball at Cal Poly Pomona where he graduated with a B.S. in Electronics Engineering in 1969. Early in his career he established himself as a talented electrical engineer, owning several patents in electronics. He later established Westar Rep Company as the Owner/President in Irvine, California. Douglas was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor. He loved the Lord and his family; attending Mission Hills Church in Littleton, Colorado, he had a passion for evangelism. He was dearly loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 23rd from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home at 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, Colorado. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 24th at 11:00 a.m. with the burial following at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery in Centennial, Colorado. An additional memorial service will be held at Reverence Bible Church in Mission Viejo, California on July 25th.
