Douglas B. Erbeck of Centennial, CO, passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 25, 2009. Born March 6, 1945 in Cedar Rapids, IA. Graduated from Wentworth Military Academy in 1962 and The American Academy of Art in 1968, with a commercial art degree. He moved to Colorado in 1971 and was employed 28 years with Western Tele-Communications, Inc. and 5 years with Comsearch as a Microwave & Satellite Systems Engineer. Survived in CO by wife, Theresa; children, Jason (Margaret), Kathryn (David) and Jessica; grandchildren, Katelyn, Alexandra, Andrew, Meghan, Hayden and Nolan; in WA by mother, Elizabeth Erbeck and brother, David Erbeck (Adele), nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by father, George A. Erbeck. Doug was an accomplished musician dating back to 1963, with The Patriots band who had a #7 hit on the Cedar Rapids charts ""As Fall The Leaves."" He continued his extraordinary guitar playing, singing and song writing throughout his life and recently recorded a CD with friends called "" Driftwood."" We remember Doug for his love and devotion to family and friends, passion for music and sports cars, faith and positive outlook on life. Memorial service will be held July 7, 10:30 a.m., at New Hope Community Church, 17699 E. Hampden Ave., Aurora, CO 80013.
