Douglas M. Mayes

Douglas Maynard Mayes, 70, of Castle Rock, Colorado passed away unexpectedly on Saturday February 15, 2014. Doug was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on July 15, 1943. Doug was married to PJ Mayes on July 1, 1987; they were married 26 years. Doug was a devoted husband, son, father, brother and family man. He was tender hearted and compassionate to others. First and foremost his passion was to serve the Lord. There was never a question as to where his eternal home would be. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. His ultimate dream was to compete in a bass fishing tournament. He will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by his mother Marzell Mayes, granddaughter Grace Mayes. Doug is survived by his spouse PJ, father George Mayes, son Brian (Jennifer) Mayes, grandson Carson Mayes, sister Nancy (Willis) Walker, nephew Doug Kent, cousin Ray (Cindy) Head. Also many additional family and close friends. The family of Douglas Mayes wishes to thank all family and friends for their love and support.
