Douglas Frank Persons September 17, 1937 - January 31, 2018 Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota Resided in Littleton, Colorado and Mesquite, Nevada Doug Persons, 80, passed on January 31, 2018 in Littleton, Colorado. He was born September 17, 1937 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to his late parents Frank & Mary Persons. Was preceded in death by brothers Don Persons (Carol) and Daniel Persons. He is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Diane and his children, Beth Burke (Kim), Mark Persons (Angela), and Jodi Johnson (Terrin); his grandchildren, Samantha Cope (Gary) and Chad Cope (Amber); his great-granddaughter, Bailee; and sister Judy Duresky (Ron). Doug enjoyed spending the warmer Colorado months at home in Littleton and the colder Colorado months at their home in Mesquite, Nevada. Throughout his life he was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, and overall sports fan. In the most recent years however, he embarked on perfecting his skills at the slot machines - still to be perfected in “The Big Casino in the Sky.” Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd (South of Yale), Lakewood, CO 80227. Graveside Services will follow on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, CO 80236.
