Doug was born in Everette Washington on February 20th, 1942. He was the son of a Paso Robles police officer, Marc Tackitt and mom Lynn Tackitt.
He was a hardworking man who retired from United Airlines after 35 years in 2002. He also served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Monticello. Doug spent the past 17 years working at the Highlands Ranch Community Association. In his free time, Doug loved learning and performing magic tricks for his friends and grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing poker with his friends. He was quite passionate about golfing and traveled to many golf courses across the United States. He recently had gotten into a hobby of buying and selling random items like coin collections and various poker and sports memorabilia. Doug was loved by everyone who met him and will be truly missed. His smile, laugh and sense of humor will remain with us forever.
Survived
Doug was survived by his wife Sis, daughter Tina, his son Mark and his daughter-in-law Brenda. He also had five grandchildren, Suraya, Tyler, Jayden, Cody, and Erik. Doug is also survived by two brothers Boyd and Terry.

A celebration of Doug's life will be held at The Cremation Gardens of Horan & McConaty at 5303 E. County Line Centennial, Colorado 80122 on Thursday August 15th at 3:00 p.m.
