81, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away December 9, 2010, in Porter Hospice at the Johnson Center, Centennial. Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada to Stan and Mary (Fraser) Clark and spent most of his childhood in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. Don received his Bachelor of Science ('51) and M.D. ('56) from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Don began his medical career as a General Practitioner in Bathurst, New Brunswick from 1956-1962. He completed an Anatomic Residency at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec from 1962-1964 and Clinical and Forensic Residencies at the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado from 1964-1966. He was on staff at Denver General Hospital from 1969-1995. During this time he served as Director of Laboratories; Vice Chairman for Pathology; Denver Deputy Coroner and Professor/Professor Emeritus at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Don also worked with Adams and Arapahoe Counties' Coroners offices. In retirement, Don spent as much time as possible with his family and friends in Lorne, Nova Scotia. Don was preceded by his loving wife of 41 years, Betty (Ward); and his sister, Mora (Clark) Sollows. Survived by son, Daniel (Jeri) Clark, Centennial, Colorado; daughter, Monica (Peter) Jacobs, Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandson, Hugh Jacobs, Colorado Springs, Colorado; and brother, Merlyn (Gwen) Clark, Milford Station, Nova Scotia. Memorial gathering will be December 11th at 2:00 P.M. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial.
