Dr. Terry L. Wostrel, DDS
Terry L. Wostrel, born October 8, 1954 in Plainview, Nebraska died Saturday August 4, 2018 in his Littleton home. He was the son of Stanley Wostrel and Pearl Timmerman Wostrel of Plainview. Terry was the youngest of six children. Growing up on his family's farm he developed a love of watching things grow, a passion that continued throughout his life.
He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he received a B.S. in microbiology and his doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry. Following his graduation, he completed a two year General Practice Residency in Dentistry with Louisiana State University in New Orleans.
While an undergraduate, Terry met his future bride, Carla Beyer. They were married on August 12, 1978. The couple moved to Colorado in 1983 upon completion of his study with LSU. They settled in Littleton where he established his dental practice, Rocky View Dental Care. The couple had three children and Terry was involved in many of their activities, serving as committee chairman of the boy scout troop where his sons were members. He was also active in the leadership of his church serving as an elder, chairman of the board of elders, and president of the school board for the church's school.
His love of agriculture led him to his most recent project, the renovation of a historic orchard, Union Orchard, in southeast Nebraska. He felt strongly that children should have the opportunity to see how the food they eat is grown and the orchard offers families that opportunity through its various programs.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters (Delores Fitch and Joan Wostrel). He is survived by his wife, Carla, children Joshua Wostrel (Karissa) Highlands Ranch, CO, Clinton Wostrel Nebraska City, Nebraska, and Morgan Wostrel (Michael) Littleton, CO, brothers Leonard Wostrel (Donna) Creighton, Nebraska, Stanley Dale Wostrel (Connie) Lincoln, Nebraska and sister Linda Wostrel Omaha, Nebraska, many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
