Dr. Arnold B. Loken, 90, of Littleton, died July 25, 2011, surrounded by his adoring family. He was born to A.B. Loken and Virginia Kelly Loken in Albuquerque, New Mexico on December 26, 1920. Dr. Loken was a collegiate athlete receiving multiple letters for football and track at the University of New Mexico. He was a World War II Marine fighter pilot veteran hero, devoted Family Practice Doctor for 47 years, parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church and former President of Littleton School Board and the Colorado Osteopathic Association. Dr. Loken had a passion for serving others through community involvement in the Catholic Samaritan House, Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), and an after school reading program at a local elementary school. He was well known for his unconditional love and devotion as a brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Dr. Loken is survived by his son Rocke (Jane); grandchildren Rachel (Eric) of Minot, Randi (Matt) of Dallas, and Ryli, Ranai, and Lance all of Littleton; great grandchildren Tony, Alex, Kendyl and Troy Bow of Minot and McKinley Wideman of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his wife Marybeth, son Gregory, brother Ralph and sister Annette. A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, September 7th, at 5:00 p.m., at Horan & McConary Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (one block to the west of Holly Street), in Centennial, Colorado. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 8th, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church, 6853 South Prince Street, in Littleton, Colorado.
