Dr. Felix Meza, age 82, of Denver, CO, passed away on February 4, 2020 after a long battle with Parkinsonâs disease. Devoted husband of Emma (nee Estella); loving father of Emma (Andrew), Janine (Jim), Katya (John) and Felix (Marcie); adoring grandfather of Jared, Emily, Lizzie, Nick, Pete, Ted, Maddy, Lauren, Max and Alex. Felix was born in Huanuco, Peru. He immigrated to the United States to achieve his dream of becoming a surgeon. He started his surgical training in El Paso, Texas and Beckley, West Virginia. He completed his cardiovascular and thoracic training in Los Angeles, California. He was a well respected vascular and thoracic surgeon practicing in Denver, Colorado until his retirement.
Felix provided advice, support, and strength not only to his family but his extended family. He will be remembered for his wise advice on the importance of education. Felixâs greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. His gentle presence will be greatly missed.
