Dr. Norbert L. Von Osten

Norbert Von Osten October 20, 1932 - January 23, 2017 84, originally of Denver, CO, passed into eternal life on January 23, 2017. Dr. Norbert Von Osten entered into eternal life on 1/23/17. Norbert was born to Maxine E. Dailey and Homer Von Osten on 10/20/1932. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1950 for the Korean War. Norbert was in the Marine Corps for 5 years. After the Marine Corps Norbert went to college on the G.I. Bill. He spent 30 years as an educator in Denver, Lakewood, and Littleton Public Schools. He then retired and started performing community service and volunteer work. He was an environmentalist and a native Coloradoan. Norbert was loved by his wife Helen Von Osten, whom he married in 1953; children Katherine and Stephen, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A visitation will be offered for family and friends on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 5 PM until 7 PM in the Horan & McConaty Family Room, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, CO. Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 9:30 AM, Pavilion B, prior to the service. Services will be held in Norbert's honor on Friday, January 27, 2017, 10:30 am at Wadsworth Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, CO 80227.
