Dr. Dean R. Zimmerman

Dr. Dean Zimmerman, 79, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, formerly of Ames, Iowa, went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 8, 2012. Dr. Zimmerman was a Professor of Nutrition at Iowa State University for 34 years. He was preceded in death by one son and his parents. Dr. Zimmerman is survived by his wife Wendy of 59 years; his children Dale (Bridget) Zimmerman and Dee (Alan) Erickson; grandchildren Nathan Zimmerman, Joshua Zimmerman, Bethany Zimmerman, Anna Zimmerman, Abigail Zimmerman, Nicholas Erickson, Joel Erickson, Rachel Erickson; brother Richard (Marge)Zimmerman; neices Mary (Rich) Derrenberry, Janet (Mark) Warner, Lucy (Craig) Phalen, Celeste (Dennis) Walker; nephew Kurt (Laurie) Zimmerman; uncle Roland Zimmerman; and auny Gladys Zimmerman. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012, 10:00 A.M. at Christ Lutheran Church, 8997 South Broadway, in Highlands Ranch.
