Duane G. Bucher

Duane G. Bucher of Denver, Colorado passed away November 14, 2015 at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife Charlotte Bucher; children Lawrence Bucher, Vicki and Dennis Supple, Becki Bucher Bartelson and Deann Bucher(Cathleen Wharton); Grandchildren Lizzy Supple, Blake Bartelson, Brooke Bartelson and Carlina Wharton-Bucher. Services will be held Saturday November 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, CO 80014. Duane graduated from East High School in 1949. He participated in Junior Achievement and ROTC. Duane graduated from the University of Denver in 1953. He was in the Army and was stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas. He married Charlotte Fairlamb in Delta Colorado on February 6, 1955. They spent 60 wonderful years together and share four children and four grandchildren. Duane worked for May D&F for 32 years. During his career he was a foreign buyer and traveled the world. He had the opportunity to open a new store at North Valley Mall and was the Vice-President of Operations. Duane was a Colorado native and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially in the beautiful Colorado mountains. His favorite places include the home in Evergreen, the condo in Silverthorne and the cabin in Estes Park. He loved to ski and skiied with the ""Over The Hill Gang"" at Copper Mountain. He enjoyed riding his bike along the bike path in the mountains and the metro area. Duane was actively involved in the community. His volunteer activities include Denver Rotary Club, Denver Boys Club, United Way, ARC and the Spruce Knob Water Company. In lieu of flowers, please make a donatins in Duane's name to Rotary International.
