Dufer Jackson Milner, Jr.

Dufer J. 'DJ' Milner, Jr., December 24, 2010. Born September 10, 1922 in Glenmora, LA. Preceded in death by his father, Dufer J. Milner, Sr., mother, Lucille (Gillette) Fowler, and sister, Jacqueline E. (Milner) Shaffer. Survived by his niece, Dianne J. (Shaffer) Lambert of Wheaton, IL, and nephew, David M. Shaffer of Denver, CO. DJ graduated from Louisiana State University College of Commerce with a Bachelors of Science after serving three years in the U. S. Army during WWII where he was awarded two bronze stars for gallantry in action. DJ started his career in finance and accounting in Louisiana and moved to San Francisco in the 1960's. He relocated to Denver in 2006. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to DJ's favorite charity, Hanna Boys Center, 17000 Arnold Drive, Sonoma, CA 95476.
