Dustin Levin of Littleton, Colorado, died on May 19, 2022 at the age of 49 after a vigorous battle with ALS (Lou Gherig's Disease). Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Dustin managed his illness with strength, always smiling and laughing while keeping his head high throughout his battle up until his last breath. He was surrounded by so many close family and friends in his last hours, which gave him great comfort.
Born in Northridge, CA to his mom Linda, Dustin had a strong athletic background playing soccer, wrestling and baseball growing up and through many of his adult years. His love of sports and determination to do his best in everything was passed down to all three of his kids.
There was nothing more important to him than his wife, Michelle and children Casey, Brooklyn and Breyson. The love he had for them never wavered and always made sure they had what they needed, when they needed it. Michelle and Dustin married in 2002 and would have celebrated their 20th Anniversary on May 25th. Their love was strong from the start and although not easy, it stood strong against one of the toughest diseases to endure. The entire time they have known each other, even prior to them dating, they were always headed in the same direction, being together and supporting each other and their family to the end. He loved watching Casey grow into the man he is now, who has been able to take over the family construction business in honor of his father, and made him proud every day. He spent countless hours working with Brooklyn on Softball from the day she picked up a bat at the age of 7 and was excited to see that she was headed to college in the next two years to continue to play. For Breyson, the youngest, he could not have been more proud. Breyson loved coming home checking on his dad and telling Dustin of his day or watching silly videos. Dustin knew Breyson was growing up quickly as he continued to figure out what he enjoys. Dustin encouraged Breyson to try different sports like baseball, rugby and football and loved to watch him start to come into his own.
He is survived by family and friends that will continue to love him.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Linda Levin.
The family is planning a celebration of life on June 3rd at Columbine High School baseball fields from 1pm-5pm.
As many people know, Prodigy Easton Fastpitch Softball is a huge part of the Levin family's life. A Scholarship Memorial Fund in Dustin's honor through Prodigy Easton Fastpitch Softball has been set up. The funds raised will go to help the young ladies of Prodigy with dues, uniforms, helmets, cleats and more. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, please either bring donations to the memorial, send them to 3042 Wycliffe Way, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126 ATTN Pat Racanelli, or Venmo @pat-racanelli.
