Dustin Rupoli

September 11, 1980 — October 25, 2011

Dustin John Rupoli passed away on October 25, 2011. Born September 11, 1980 to Lorie and Frank Rupoli; brother of Ryan; uncle of Calvin and grandson of Mary. As a child he loved to play soccer, basketball and baseball; he was the best left handed 3 baseman ever, and the smoothest left handed basketball player. As a tween and young teen he became an avid fisherman and he enjoyed fishing the rest of his life; he fished rivers, lakes and oceans, and definitely had some impressive catches, and his boat in Tennessee was the love of his life. As a teen he trained his Golden Retriever ""Cheyenne"" to be the best in obedience, they were the best friends, and he was so proud of her. Dustin graduated Arvada West High School in 1999 many of his electives he took were from Warren Tech in restaurant service. As a child and a teen he loved to cook. After graduation, Dustin sought out his passion and attended The Culinary Institute of America, where he graduated in 2001, he performed his internship at Key West Florida, at Little Palm Island, he actually had to take a boat to work everyday; he again had the best of both worlds, he cooked and trained to be the best chef, but on his free time he was able to fish, fish and fish. After graduation, he was a Sous Chef at many different restaurants around the Denver, CO area, he actually helped open two restaurants, so he learned all the aspects of running a top notch restaurant, he was eventually promoted to Executive Chef at several restaurants in the Denver area, then he was offered a Executive Chef position in Nashville, Tennessee- again he had the best of both worlds, he cooked and relaxed in his boat and fished. Dustin loved country music, so Nashville provided him with the best of country and he was able to attend many concerts of big time performers as well as the locals who are excellent. Dustin only lived 31 years but he lived them well, his beautiful smile will be so missed by his family and friends. Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton. Reception to follow service.
