Dwight V. Alseike

November 24, 1920 — July 28, 2011

Dwight V. Alseike, 90, passed away July 28, 2011 peacefully at home surrounded by family.

He is predeceased by his wife Betty, son John, and granddaughter Julie. He is survived by his children, Anita, Joan and her husband Tom, Karla and her husband Don, and Craig, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Dwight was a gentle, caring and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

His family was always the most important to him and he instilled that importance of family first in all of his children. He enjoyed being with his family at all of the holiday gatherings, birthday parties and graduations. He also enjoyed the family camping trips to the mountains and the timeshare trips.

He was very creative and artistic and he passed along his talents to his children. His many beautiful mountain landscape paintings appear in his home and his children’s homes and they have and will be a reminder of his talent for years to come. He enjoyed his work as a technical illustrator in the civil service at Lowry Air Force Base for most of his career.

His spiritual guidance and tender loving care will be missed by his family.

Memorial Service will be held Monday, August 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, 3242 Tucson Street, Aurora, Colorado 80011.
