Ed Garvens Bornmueller, aged 86, of Centennial, CO died Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at Sky Ridge Medical Center after an extended illness. Mr. Bornmueller was born on August 11, 1925, in Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Edwin W. Bornmueller and Ruth Garvens Bornmueller and his brother Albert Edwin Bornmueller. He and his beloved wife Charlotte Clam Bornmueller were married on April 30, 1977, in Denver. After graduation in 1943 from East High School in Denver, Ed graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then served as an Aviation Cadet in the Army Air Corp. He was Honorably Discharged from the United States Air Force on October 29, 1952. Ed had a successful career as a manufacturer's representative for over 40 years retiring in 1995. In retirement Ed and Charlotte enjoyed traveling to Alaska, China, Italy, England, France, Brazil, Mexico and throughout the United States. Family ski reunions in Keystone, Co. were a special time for Ed. Ed was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos, the University of Denver college hockey, and professional hockey when he and Charlotte were not hitting the lanes bowling. He is survived by Charlotte Bornmueller, Centennial, CO. and his children from a prior marriage, Pamela Dawn Lamoureux and her husband Donn, of Wimberley, TX. and Gregg Warren Bornmueller of Sugar Land, TX. Surviving grandchildren include Eric Lamoureux, Houston, TX and his spouse Michaela, Carrie Bornmueller, Houston, TX, Sean Bornmueller, Houston, TX and Alex Lamoureux, Wimberley, TX. His only surviving great-granddaughter is Lyla Lamoureux, Houston, TX. He is also survived by his nephews Alan O. Bornmueller, Greenville, SC, and Gary E. Bornmueller, Des Moines, IA and their respective spouses Sally and Colleen. His surviving niece is Lisa R. Dias, Downey, CA and her husband Antonio. Ed loved all of his family and was rewarded with a great-niece Julie Dunn Birello, Greenville, SC, her husband Steven, and great-great niece Cecilia. His great-nephew is Bryan E. Bornmueller, Minneapolis, MN and his wife Ursula. A Military Honor Guard Service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 10:30 am at the Horan & McConaty Funeral Parlor, 5303 East County Line Road (one block west of South Holly Street). Future Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be given to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
