Edith M. Holtcamp

April 9, 1922 — August 22, 2020

Edith (Edie) Margaret Holtcamp went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2020 after 98 full years of life. Edie was born on April 9, 1922 to John and Roay (Jackson) Adams in Los Animas, Colorado. She grew up hunting and fishing with her father and continued enjoying these activities with her husband and two sons.

She was married to Clemen Henry Holtcamp on December 20, 1943 during WWII. She worked for a short time in a fur shop, after which, she spent over 23 years as an elementary teacher's aide in the Denver Public Schools system. Edie and Clem had two sons. Edie loved her husband and boys.

She had a "Lucille Ball" flair for dressing up and making people laugh. She and Clem were both avid Bronco fans, having season tickets since the early 1970's. They attended Red Rocks Fellowship having countless cherished and dear friends there. Edie and Clem also enjoyed many wonderful trips to Las Vegas, Hawaii, and Florida with her beloved sister, Helen, and brother-in-law, Dick Light, both preceding her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and by Clem, her husband of 69 years.

Edie is survived by her two sons and their wives M. Brent (Louise) Holtcamp and Kent

Douglas (Sandra) Holtcamp.  She is also survived by six grandchildren Jennifer, Britta, Trisha, Jorgan, Kendra and Makena, as well as 9 great-grandchildren Addy, Nariah, Marc, Ava, Richard, Gianna, Jolie, Jaycie, and Jade, and a nephew Rich (Nancy) Light and family. Additionally, she is survived by a devoted life friend Nan Page Stevens.

Edie was such a colorful personality. She will be missed by many.

A private service and burial will be held on September 11, 2020. A "Celebration in the Park" for friends and family will be announced for a later date.
