Edith Helen Howe

Edith Helen Howe, 88, passed away February 8, 2009, in Englewood, Colorado. She was born March 30, 1920, in Cheraw, Colorado to Harry Leo and Lenora Dunlap Nicklos. For many years Edith provided childcare in her home. Her home was a loving environment where Edith (affectionatly known to many as ""Grandma""), cared deeply and had a great love for those children. Edith belonged to a Philinthropic Soroity, ESA. She loved doing sevice for others. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Edith loved going to church and learning about the gospel. Everyone at church new her as ""Grandma."" Edith is survived by her loving family: daughter, Judith Tate (and husband, James), of Littleton, CO; son, Gene Howe (and wife, Brenda), of Centennial, CO; grandchildren: Lisa Holt (and husband, Russell); Robin Ayers (and husband, Mike); Barbara Mergens (and husband, Rick); Kristen Howe, Rodney Howe and Greg Howe; 6 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Edith was a loving soul and will be missed by all. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 16, 2009, from 10:00-10:45am, with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 am. The visitation and the Funeral will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12654 W. Belleview Ave., Littleton, CO 80127. Burial will be in The Golden City Cemetery, 755 Ulysses Street, Golden, Colorado. Memorial donations may be made in Edith's name to: Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 ~ Attn: Memorial Dept.
