Edith Klitzke

Mrs. Edith Jeanette Klitzke passed away Wednesday March 23, 2011 at the Life Care Center in Evergreen, Colorado. She will be remembered by a community of friends in Grand Junction, where she lived from 1983 to 2009. She was born, Edith Jeanette Jacobson in Pope County, Minnesota on February 24, 1922, fifth child born into a family of 13. She married Maurice Klitzke April 16, 1946. Maurice preceded her in death, September 2001. Edith is survived by her daughter Janah Campbell, son John Klitzke and his wife Laura, grandchildren Dana, Brady, John and Jesse as well as sisters Mildred and Connie and brothers Gerhard, Gordon and Dale. She will be interned at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a date to be announced, later this spring. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011, 10:30 AM at American Lutheran Church, Grand Junction, CO. Reception will follow at American Lutheran Church.
