Edmond ""Ed"" Cross

Edmond Edward Cross, age 89, passed away March 29, 2018. He was born on March 16, 1929 in Greenwood, Arkansas, to Rosa Jeffcoat and Wilbur Cross. Survived by his two adult children: Patricia S. Cross (Aurora) and Thomas Y. Cross (San Francisco/Aurora); his brother: Halton Cross and his wife Donna; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, and his companion of 25 years, Shirley Eyre. Edmond was a member of the US Army Air Corps and enlisted in the US Air Force when it was indoctrinated to service on September 18, 1947. Upon retirement, in 1967, Edmond had reached the rank of Technical Sergeant. Edmond then joined the Civil Service for the US Air Force and retired from Civil Service in 1987. Edmond was an active Aurora resident for 51 years. Edmond was a wonderful man who loved his family and his grandchildren/great-grandchildren. Edmond enjoyed retirement; going on trips, cruises and visiting all the local golf courses. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. In memory of our father in his honor you may donate to the American Alzheimer's Association. Flowers may be sent to the Funeral Home as well. Services will be held on April 6, 2018 at Horan and McConaty-11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO 80014, at 2:00 PM. A reception is to follow at Horan and McConaty-HearthLight Center at 3:00 PM.
