On Thursday, February 1, 2024, we said goodbye to the most amazing mom, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Edna May Glasspoole at the respectable age of 97. Edna was born and raised in Rock River, Wyoming with her brother and two sisters. It is also where she met the love of her life, Gib, when he asked for math tutoring, because she was a brainiac.
Edna was strong and smart, full of fun, and didn’t suffer fools. She loved with her whole heart. She was an adventurer in her time-she loved to travel, waterski, and snowmobile. She loved parties and games and ran every Rummikub table she ever sat down to. But most of all she loved her family. Loved cooking for us and with us. Playing school, coloring, telling stories. Cheering us on in all our endeavors. She lived her life with grace and humor and (hopefully) taught us to do the same.
While we are filled with joy knowing that she has joined her beloved husband, Gib and son Randy, it leaves each of us wondering what a world without Gigi looks like. While we don’t know the answer to that yet, we do know this-Heaven just became A LOT more organized.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harold "Gib", her son Randy, her brother, Chuck, and sisters Eva and Janie. She is survived by her son, William Glasspoole (Peggy); three grandchildren, Shawna Dalena (Fred); Trista Caldwell (Brian); and Ryan Glasspoole (DeVonna); and six great-grandchildren Bobby and Max Bell; Isabelle and Amelia Glasspoole; and Jack and Avery Caldwell.
The family would like to thank Bloom Hospice and Cherry Hills Assisted Living for the care they have provided over the last part of her life. We are incredibly grateful.
