Edward Michael Loughry

Edward Michael Loughry May 31, 1941 – June 7, 2015 Born and raised in Colorado, Ed participated in ROTC at the University of Colorado. Ed served as a Lieutenant in the Navy, including serving in Vietnam. Ed worked in the banking industry, much of his time at First Interstate Bank of Denver, where he ended his career as a Senior Vice President. Ed spent his ""retirement"" volunteering with numerous groups, including the Downtown Aquarium and the Museum of Nature and Science. Ed drove meals for Meals on Wheels, drove cancer patients to their treatments for the American Red Cross and worked with two church groups that collected food for local food banks. Ed is survived by his four children, Joe (Andrea), Kate (John) Ives, Ted (Cathy), and Laura (Robert) Morales; five grandchildren Cory, Ryan, Miranda, Caitlin and Gavin; brother John (Claire); and a cousin Sr. Mary McAuliffe. Ed is preceded in death by his beloved wife Cathey Etzkorn Loughry, three siblings and his parents. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Meals on Wheels or the American Cancer Society. Funeral Mass will be Friday, June 12, 4:00 PM at St. Thomas More Catholic Parish, 8035 S Quebec St, Centennial, CO 80112.
