Edward Harry Sirois

April 8, 1926 — August 25, 2012

Grew up in Yonkers, NY. Joined US Navy 1944-46 following graduation from Roosevelt High School. Served as a Signalman on USS Whitney, destroyer tender, WWII Pacific theatre. Graduated from Colgate University 1950 with a BA and Wesleyan University 1952 with an MA. Starting with DuPont in 1952, Ed held engineering and research positions with GE and Westinghouse and was an environmental science engineering consultant for the State of Florida and federal government. He has spent the past 17 years pursuing his boyhood dream of being a rancher, raising Texas Longhorns and Paint horses. Survived by his wife Iris of 22 years, sons Randy Kirkland WA, Ron (Cindy) Fort Lauderdale FL, daughter Nancy Jane Iredale (John) Burlington VT. Grandchildren Danny (Beth) Fort Lauderdale FL, Pamela Cranberry Township PA, Christopher Kirkland WA, Jonathan Toledo OH, Angelie and Nicholas Fort Lauderdale.
