Edwin L. Von Feldt

Edwin L. Von Feldt, 66. After 3 years of courageous battle against cancer, Ed succumbed to his illness on August 25. Ed was born on May 22, 1946 in Beaumont, Texas to Al and Ann Von Feldt. He was one of nine children. Ed attended St. Francis Catholic School and was an excellent athlete, becoming the 1962 Golden Gloves Boxing Champion of Colorado. Ed served four years as a US Marine, one tour in Vietnam and 2 years in Belgium at the US Embassy. Above and beyond his military career and life accomplishment, Ed was most proud of raising his 3 girls; Elicia (Doug), Christi (Brett), and Peri. Ed had 4 beautiful grandchildren: Gage, Alena, Asher, and Aislyn, which gave him great joy. Ed is survived by his mother, Ann; siblings; Gloria (Truman), Kamela (Brian), Barry (Wendie), Lesley (Jack), John (Annie), Michael, Fred, and Jeff (Kim), plus many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones. Ed will be greatly missed and remembered as a wonderful son, brother, friend and father. There will be a Visitation Wednesday, August 30, 2012 from 4:00-8:00pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado 80227. Recitation of the Rosary, followed by Funeral Mass will be Thursday, August 30, 2012, 11:00 AM at Holy Name Catholic Church, 3290 West Milan Avenue, Englewood, Colorado 80110. Interment will be Thursday, August 30, 2012, 2:30 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80235.
