Edwin "Bud" Carroll Niemeyer, 98, died on June 29, 2022 in Aurora, Colorado. Born and raised in Humboldt, Illinois, Ed was the son of a farming family. During high school, he met June E. Chronic, and they married before he served with the Army Corps of Engineers in both Europe and the Pacific. He went on to become an executive with Lovelace Trucking Company in Terre Haute, Indiana. In addition to being an avid golfer, Ed was an entertainer extraordinaire and volunteer for numerous charities, most notably Rotary International. He is survived by his daughter, Roseann Niemeyer, his son-in-law, Steven Thomas, his grandson, Clark Thomas, and his granddaughter-in-law, Madeline Thomas. A private graveside service with military honors will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. Donations can be sent to the Rotary Club of Terre Haute, IN or Arvada, CO. Ed was a great man who was loved by many and generous to all.
