Eileen Peci

Eileen Seana Peci, loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away on November 15, 2021, in Longmont, Colorado after a 3 ½ year battle with cancer. She was born on March 4, 1962, in Queens, New York, and was the second daughter to Sean and Eileen (McSweeney) Flanagan. She spent her childhood in Samsondale, New York and later relocated to Homosassa, Florida where she raised her children Jen, Jacqi, and Joey.

While in Florida, she met her husband Joe and they married in early 1999 in Kona, Hawaii. For 22 years they enjoyed many road trips and vacations, working on home improvement projects, and simply going out for coffee and bagels. Together they lived in many places throughout Florida, New York, and eventually made the move to Colorado. It was here that they finally settled in Northglenn.

She went on to build a telecommunications business (Jemcko Technologies, Inc) where she was mostly self-taught and driven by a passion to learn the trade. She was proud to leave it to her children to carry on. She had an unwavering work ethic and was greatly respected by all that had the pleasure of working with her.

Eileen enjoyed doing various crafts, working in the yard, listening to audiobooks, binge-watching tv mini-series, and above all, caring for her family. She most adored being a grandmother and spent as much time with her grandchildren as she could. The bond she had with them was something truly special.

Perhaps the greatest testament to her life was the love and care she had for her son Joey. Despite his rare muscular disease and the challenges that brought, Joey was the light of her life, as he was to many. He sadly passed away just months before her diagnosis.

She is survived by her husband Joseph Peci; daughter Jennifer Hernandez (husband CJ, children Brayden and Emalynn); daughter Jacqueline LeValley (husband Kirk, son Harlan); step-daughters Christie Doria (husband Billy, children Anthony and Brianna), Kayla Chaluisan (children Amia and Jovani), Marissa Enny (husband Robert, children Julianna and Olivia) and step-son Michael Peci. She also leaves behind her sister Kimberly (Flanagan) Cleary and husband Jim; James Flanagan and wife Denise; and Thomas Flanagan and wife Mairead, along with many loving nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

She is preceded in death by both her parents as well as her two sons Michael Thomas Strauch (d. 1986) and Joseph Michael Strauch (d. 2017). We take solace in knowing she is finally at peace and with her boys in Heaven. She will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Mass to honor Eileen will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 1:00pm at Horan & McConaty, 9998 Grant St. Thornton, CO 80229. A reception will follow.
