Eileen Schwindaman

M. Eileen Schwindaman, 95, went home to her heavenly father on October 18, 2021. She was born to Isaac and Hattie Hoots on May 20, 1926. Eileen had 2 siblings, Eldon Hoots and Bonnie O'Leary. Eileen grew up in S. Denver, graduating from South High School in 1944.

Her faith was very important to her. She was raised in the church of the Brethren. Her home church for many years was Family In Christ Community Church. After retirement from Prudential Ins., she kept busy with her Avon business, volunteering at Valley View Elementary and church activities. She especially enjoyed helping with vacation bible school.

Eileen loved life, her family and most of all her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She also enjoyed music. She loved to sing and dance around the house. She even danced around the  grocery store embarrassing her kids! Eileen was kind to everyone she met and loved by all who knew her.

Eileen is survived by daughters, Karen (Al) Detrick, Martha Bennett, LaVonne (Edd) Jenkins, Sharyl Polwort and 1 son, Mark (Trish) Schwindaman. She was blessed with 8 children, 14 grandkids, 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Each one was very precious to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, her parents, siblings and 3 children Bruce T Carpenter, Karlene and Merlin Schwindaman and 3 grandsons.

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 2:00PM at Highland Cemetery in Thornton, Colorado. An opportunity for viewing will be from 12:00PM to 1:45PM at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel in Thornton, Colorado prior to the burial.
