Elaina Koryn Grandinetti

Elaina Koryn Grandinetti, 16, passed away January 30, 2015. She was born August 19, 1998 in Aurora, Colorado. Elaina started playing soccer at the age of four. Her love for the game was evident very early on as she was known to steal the ball from her own teammates so she could score. She loved the game and played for Storm, then Real Soccer, and also on the Varsity team at Arapahoe High School. She was known for her wicked left hook with her left foot. Elaina had the most beautiful smile in the world, and had an infectious laugh. She was quick and was never without a witty comeback. She was one to speak her mind and you never had to guess how she felt about anything. A Junior at Arapahoe High School, Elaina is beautiful, gifted, smart, tough and creative. She excelled in many areas of her life, even maintaining a high GPA. Besides her love for soccer, Elaina loved food and shoes. Her favorite fast food was Chick-fil-a, but she knew more restaurants than anyone could imagine and she knew exactly what she wanted at each place. She loved shoes so much that every saleswoman in the shoe department at Nordstrom knew her name. She loved to travel to Mexico and had been there at least 16 times. Elaina is loved and will be remembered by her many loving family members and friends; Mom, Jean Elaine Smith-Gonnell (and Step-father, Eric Tyson); Step-father, Anthony Wayne Gadberry; three brothers, who worshipped her, Tate Gadberry, Vincent Gadberry and Trace Tyson; grandparents, Edmond Smith and Judith Gonnell; Emmet and Carolyn Gadberry, Kelly Tyson; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and Bridget, Elaina's favorite dog. A service for Elaina will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, 12Noon, at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, Colorado 80014. A Private graveside service for family and invited friends will be held at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Blvd., Littleton, CO.
