Elaine Littell Cella

December 4, 1922 — March 23, 2006

Elaine died Thursday, March 23, 2006 in Denver. She was 83. Born December 4, 1922 in Salt Lake City, UT to Leonard and Pauline Littell. She attended Blessed Sacrament Elementary School and graduated in 1936. She was an avid dancer appearing in many productions at Elitches' Theatre. She attended Cathedral High School and graduated in 1940. Her college years were spent at the University of Colorado. She was a member of the Pi Phi Sorority and graduated in 1944. She worked for Continental Airlines and taught in the Denver Public Schools. She volunteered many hours in her community for the Junior League and Christ the King Learning Center. She married Jack Cella on June 20, 1963. She will be remembered as a kind, caring, fun-loving, vivacious person devoted to her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Jack; daughters Melanie Marino and her husband, Dale, Julie McKenna and her husband, Michael, and son, Jack and his wife Renee; her eight grandchildren Nicholas Marino, Joseph, Lindsey, Rachel, and Claire Cella, Joe, Sean and Callie McKenna; and sister Joyce Hamilton. Rosary service, Tuesday 7:00 PM, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday 10:00 AM, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 845 Fairfax, Denver, CO 80220. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Elaine Cella Memorial Fund, Christ the King Catholic Church.
