Elaine Kay Jones

Elaine Kay Jones, age 62, died peacefully at home on Wednesday June 24^th, 2020 after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born August 26^th, 1957 in Enid, Oklahoma then resided primarily in Oklahoma City until relocating to Colorado in 1994 with her children and made Aurora, CO her home. Though it was common for her to hold 2 or 3 jobs at a time to support her family, she found her place as the distribution warehouse manager for Russell Stover Candies and remained there for over 10 years until the facility was closed during the recession of 2008.

This is also when she was faced with cancer for the first time. She conquered it, but permanent damage was left in its wake. With declining health, she officially retired from the workforce and focused on her rapidly growing family which now includes 3 children, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and an abundance of ""adopted"" children in the form of friends, neighbors, and anyone who made their way into her always open heart.

Elaine, affectionately known to her grandchildren as ""Roar-Roar"", will be remembered for her unyielding love & generosity, quick-witted humor, creativity, perseverance, graciousness, and love for Dr. Pepper! She leaves behind a legacy of humility, compassion, curiosity, and most of all, love!

Children: Jennifer Jones, Joni {Jones} Skinner {Eric Semingsen}, Michael Jones Jr. {Jamie Smith}

Grandchildren: Natasha Garcia {John Bauman}, Megan Gonzales, Jasmine, Sterling, & Autumn Contreras, Trystan & Jaxsen Skinner, Luna Semingsen, Alexandria & Luke Smith

Great-Grandchildren: Zayden Lien, Martin & Logan Hiatt, Antonius Contreras

Siblings: Walter {Rosa} Shade, Betty {Dorman} Diller

As well as many nieces, nephews & cousins.
