Elberta B. Wenner

April 27, 1933 — August 16, 2010

Elberta Ramey Wenner of Denver, Colorado passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 after a long illness of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. She was 77 years young. Berdie to everyone who knew her was born April 27, 1933 in Olive Hill, Kentucky to Carlos Vincon Lawhorn and Virginia Smith Lawhorn, both deceased. She was the second child of seven children and is survived by two sisters Madge George and Shirley Williams of Smithville, Tennessee, and one brother Ralph Vincon Lawhorn of Mansfield, Ohio. Also surviving Ms. Ramey Wenner is her three children, Karen Elberta Fannin of Arvada, Colorado, Randy Ramey of Fremont, North Carolina, and Patsy Edwards of Aurora, Colorado and their spouses, Rudy Fannin, Sherry Ernsberger Ramey and Kim Edwards. She has eight grandchildren and spouses, Keesha Fannin Leavitt (Tim Leavitt), Douglas Carl Fannin (Chrissy Overton Fannin), Laura Fannin Burk (Eric Burk), Rochelle Fannin Jouett (Douglas Jouett), Lucas Fannin, Courtni Ramey White (Jamie White), Brandon Ramey, and Kimberly Edwards Martinez (Dion Martinez); and 20 great grandchildren, Mikayla, Brenna, Jeffrey and Jayden Leavitt, Brendan, Ryleigh and Mason Fannin, Janessa, Aryah and Elijah Burk, Krislyn, Rabecca, Ryan, Katelyn and Olivia Jouett, Dyllan, Dalton and Carson Ramey, Dion Fisher Martinez and Cierra Martinez. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2010, from 4:00-8:00 PM, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, in Thornton, Colorado. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010, 10:00 AM, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12995 W. 72nd Avenue, in Arvada, Colorado. An informal viewing will be held Friday, August 20, 2010 at 6:00 PM, at Brants Funeral Home, in Sciotoville, Ohio. Elberta will be buried Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 10:00 AM, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, in Franklin Furnace, Ohio. Memorials are being suggested to the American Heart Association, 1280 South Parker Road, Denver, Colorado 80231.
