Eleanor Stuckenschneider

Eleanor A Stuckenschneider, age 94, passed away peacefully in Cheyenne, WY on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

Eleanor was born on February 20th, 1928 in Argyle, MO. She also lived in Jefferson City, MO, Denver, CO and Cheyenne, WY. Eleanor worked as an accountant for Safeway until her retirement, was an avid golfer and bowler, winning awards in both leagues. She was a devoted member of Church of the Risen Christ for 50 years. Eleanor enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking and was a wonderful mother to her 7 children.

Eleanor was the daughter to Emil (deceased) and Matilda (deceased) Wildhaber. She had 2 brothers, Rainey Wildhaber (deceased) and Elmer Wildhaber (deceased).

Eleanor’s children include: Jacqueline Berry (Tom), Joyce Stuckenschneider, Janet Sala, James Stuckenschneider (deceased), Janine Cook (Steve), Joseph Stuckenschneider (Lucinda), John Stuckenschneider (Lori). Eleanor was the proud grandmother to 19 grandchildren and great grandmother to 21 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Sunday January 22nd at Horan & McConaty 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO 80014 at 12:30pm with the rosary immediately following at 2:30pm. Funeral service is Monday, January 23rd at 10am at Church of the Risen Christ 3060 S Monaco Pkwy Denver, CO 80222. Reception immediately following at the church. Burial in Fort Logan at a later date.

Memorial contributions are welcome at the local Marine Corps League.
