Elenny "Leni" Striegnitz

Elenny Musgrave Striegnitz, 63, of Lakewood, Colorado, peacefully passed away at her home on May 2, 2023. She was surrounded by her family after a valiant battle with ALS.

Leni, as she was known to family and friends, was born on August 22, 1959 to Robert John and Stephanie Musgrave in Delta, Colorado. After Leni graduated from George Washington High School in Denver in 1977 she pursued a degree in journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder, graduating in 1981.

Also in 1981, she married Mark Striegnitz at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Denver. Mark and Leni have two children, Theodore and Anastasia.

Mark and Leni started Mark’s Auto Sales, in 1983, where she worked until her diagnosis with ALS in 2021. In her free time, Leni was passionate about her horses and numerous pets, her flowers, creating beautiful art work, and cooking for her family.

Leni is preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert Newell and LaVern Musgrave, Tom and Elaine Poulos, her father, Robert John Musgrave, and her sister Toni Musgrave. She is survived by her husband, Mark, their two children, Theodore and Anastasia, her mother Stephanie Mead, her sisters Patricia Demopoulos (Tony) and Christina Kambeitz (Jim), and numerous extended family members.

Services will be held at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church in Greenwood Village, Colorado on Wednesday May 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00AM. Internment service will be on Thursday May 11, 2023 at 10:00AM at Golden Cemetery.
