The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all staff at Cherry Creek Retirement Village in Aurora, CO, Someren Glen Continuing Care Community in Littleton, CO, and the doctors and nurses at University of Colorado Hospital for their loving care and compassion.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Betty was always a farm girl at heart instilling her values of hard work, respect, kindness, and integrity in her children. She was known for her loving and nurturing spirit and kind smile. She lived a fulfilling life dedicating many years to her career as a childcare teacher caring for toddlers at Children’s Community Center in Menomonee Falls, WI. She had a passion for gardening where she found peace and joy tending to her flowers and plants and sharing her tips and tricks with friends and family members.
After the passing of her husband and son, Betty embraced the opportunity in 2017 to move to Colorado to be close to her daughter and son-in-law. Her days were spent visiting with friends during meals and activities, sewing, and crafting. She was always happiest when she had multiple craft projects in progress and loved sharing her creations with those she loved.
Although the final month of her life was spent overcoming some health challenges, she was happy and always smiling. Her daughter was by her side, and together they shared countless memories, enjoyed playing games, planned her next craft projects, and fondly made plans for her next chapter of her life in her new assisted living apartment.
Betty will forever be in our hearts, and we take comfort knowing she is at peace with her husband and son.
