Elizabeth ""Libby"" Ann Roe

June 25, 1941 — February 20, 2016

Elizabeth ""Libby"" Ann Roe, 74, of Aurora, Colorado passed peacefully with family at her side February 20, 2016. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at Elevation Christian Church, 15600 E. Alameda Parkway, Aurora, Colorado, on Saturday, February 27th at 1:00pm. Libby is survived by her sisters Tina Cyr and Norma Driscoll Johnson, a brother Maurice Driscoll, her companion David Bernier, and her children Brenda Mitchell, Joseph Mitchell, Cheryl Brunton, and Tammy Roe Nere. She is also survived by her grandchildren Chelsea Nere and Derek Brunton. Her husband of 39 years, Howard B. Roe, Jr., passed in June of 2008. ""Miss Libby"" thrived in serving others. Her volunteerism is what she will be remembered for above all. Whether as the ""community mom"" for many years of her early life, to her role as a comfort provider with the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization, to volunteering with the food pantry at Pinewood Lodge where she lived, Libby stayed very active by giving not only her time, but anything she had, to all those around her. It was Christmas year-round for Libby. She wanted to capture the season's spirit of togetherness, generosity and warmth all of the time. For this reason, her home was elegantly decorated with wreaths, lights, ornaments and angels. Libby certainly embodied what it meant to feel like you were at home. And now, Elizabeth Ann Roe is home in Heaven with those who preceded her, and with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is dearly remembered by so very many people.
