Elizabeth Marie Ross, age 71 of Aurora, Colorado passed away on January 22nd, 2022 from a sudden medical emergency.
She was born on November 12th, 1950 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Howard Stiewe Sr. and Marie Ficher. She was a graduate of Riverside High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1968. She married Daniel Raymond Ross on August 2nd, 1969. They had two children, Jennifer and Jeremy. Jennifer passed away from cancer in 1989 at age 15.
Liz loved working with arts and crafts, with an eye for various house decorations along with crocheting many afghans. She worked for 18 years at Accents Crafts & Framing in Milwaukee. She moved to Aurora, Colorado with her family in 1993. She would then go on to work for Delta Dental Insurance Company as a contract administrator until she retired 19 years later. She enjoyed working very much at both of these companies. After retirement Liz was hired again by Delta to do part time work from her home which she did for several years.
Liz was an avid reader (loved murder mysteries in particluar!). She always loved to laugh whether it was hanging out with friends and family while on vacation/cruises, or just playing her favorite card game (Sheepshead, a very local Milwaukee game) while cracking up over someone’s in-game misfortune. She was also a lifelong Packer fan along with the Brewers and Rockies.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years Dan, and their son Jeremy. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Additional funeral arrangements will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at Holy Cross Cemetery at a time to be determined. There she will be interred with her daughter Jennifer Anne.
