Elizabeth Clara Schneider

Liz passed away on September 6, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband William and son Bill.

Liz was born on June 17, 1922, in Denver, Colorado. She married William “Bill” on July 17, 1946. Both Liz and her husband graduated from West High School and lived their entire lives in Denver. Liz belonged to many organizations including WOW’s, TOPS, and many Bowling Leagues. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to play poker and line dance. She was an excellent cook and baker.

Liz lived life to the fullest and enjoyed traveling to all parts of the world with her WOW’s group. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to see all the grandkids and great great grandkids. She was a mean poker player and loved to play with “wildcards”. When her sister Mary Lou passed away the whole Elmont family took Liz under their wings and they were like her second family.

Liz has three daughters: Karen Sue (Dick) Bailey, Jan (Travis) Giddens, Debbie (Dennis) Greufe. Grandchildren: Michelle (Mike) Kamolz, Chris Bailey, Pat (Shara) Giddens, Betsy Giddens, Aaron (Sarah) Greufe and Kyle Greufe. Great-Grandchildren: Morgan and Maddie Kamolz, Kayla, Abby, and Tanner Bailey, Amanda (Cory) and Ashley Giddens. Great-Great-Grandchildren: Aubrey Giddens and Paisley York.

Visitation, today, Wednesday, 4pm-7pm followed immediately by rosary. Both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood. Funeral Mass Thursday, 11am, St. Jude Catholic Church, 9405 W. Florida Ave., Lakewood. Private burial Fort Logan National Cemetery.
