Elizabeth Joan Shellhaas

Elizabeth ""Bet"" Joan Shellhaas, 87, passed away September 2, 2009, in Littleton, Colorado. She was born November 8, 1921, in Venedocia, Ohio, to Elizabeth and David Edwin Jones. She attended York Township School and was Peony Queen VIII in 1939. Bet was the beloved wife of the late, Glen William Shellhaas, attorney and law professor. Bet is survived by her four children: Stephen Scott (Deborah) Shellhaas, Castle Rock, CO; Elizabeth ""Betsy"" Jane (Lonnie) Fallin, Littleton, Co; Sue Lyn (Mike) Brent, Austin, TX; Lisa J. (Ben) Detweiler, Danville, CA; four grandchildren: Lonnie Dale (Lori Hornsberger) Fallin II, Shelly Elizabeth (Troy) Gray, Jason Scott (Renee) Shellhaas, Joseph Glen (Stacey) Shellhaas; six great-grandchildren: Sawyer Glen Fallin Hornsberger, Carlee Elizabeth Gray, Ethan Michael Gray, Graham Scott Shellhaas, Peter Glen Shellhaas and Natalie Franziska Shellhaas. She was preceded in death by brother, William Jones and sister, Margaret Tipple. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, 10:30am, Littleton United Methodist Church, 5894 So. Datura Street, Littleton, Colorado 80120. Bet's ashes will be taken to Bellefontaine, Ohio for burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Littleton United Methodist Church or to a Charity of your choice.
