Elizabeth Tellez

Elizabeth Grace Tellez, 73 of Westminster, Colorado, Passed away on July 11, 2022

After a courageous battle with kidney disease.

Elizabeth was the 9th child born in Center, Colorado to Victor Duran of New Mexico and Simonita Duran of Del Norte, Colorado.

She is preceded in death by her parents Victor and Simonita Duran, sisters Eliza Espinoza, Cortilda “Tillie” Trujillo, Ursula Mungia, Rose Soto, Lucia Gonzales, brothers Perfecto Martinez, Max Duran and Jim Duran. She is survived by her daughters Laurie Sanchez (Michael), Kathryn Arellano, Carla Magaña, grand children Desirae Vigil (Rob), Justin Arellano (Ashley), Michael Sanchez (Melissa), Elizabeth Arellano (Jerome), Noah Sanchez, Manuel Orge, Jaunie Padilla, sister Isabelle “Tilla” Pacheco, and brother Jesse Duran. Elizabeth is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and friends.

Elizabeth was loved immensely by her family. Elizabeth was charismatic and confident in all she did in her life. She had many friends and thought of them as family. Her great sense of humor and colorful stories always seemed to find a way to make those around her howl with laughter. She loved to get lost in the mountains as she’d say. Most importantly Elizabeth loved and served her Lord and Savior and couldn’t wait to meet up with her Jesus and her family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 6pm at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado.
