Betty passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2010. She was born March 20, 1929 in Denver, CO. Preceded in death by her parents Walter P. and Frances M. Imhoff and her sister Mary Nill. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Ed, children Ed (Jo), Joe (Shelley), John, Paul (Jennifer), Mary (Rick) Harrison, brothers Walt and Joe Imhoff, sister Fran Rhodes, 8 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Betty attended grade and high school at St. Francis de Sales, and graduated from Loretto Heights College with a B.S. in Dietetics. After an internship at Hines V.A. Hospital in Chicago, she was employed as a dietician at the V.A. Hospital in Denver for 4 years and taught nutrition part-time at Loretto Heights College. She then became a full-time mother raising 5 children. She also founded and served as the administrator of the All Parochial Youth Band, which gave all parochial school children the opportunity for instrumental music. Her last employment was as an office manager for several businesses here in Denver. Betty was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and spent her last 6 years in nursing facilities. Recitation of the Rosary will be held, Friday, May 21, 5PM, Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Funeral Mass, Saturday, May 22, 11AM, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Chuch, 2375 E. Arizona Ave. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association , 455 Sherman Street, Suite 500, Denver, CO 80209.
