Elizabeth "Liz" Telea

August 17, 1957 — March 18, 2021

Denver, Colorado

Elizabeth “Liz” Telea, 63, of Denver, Colorado passed away on March 18, 2021 at The Denver Hospice.  Born on August 17, 1957 in Denver, Colorado, she was the daughter of Edward L and Ruth Telea.

Liz worked as an administrative assistant in the medical industry.

She enjoyed traveling, button collecting and volunteering at the Denver Zoo as well as the National Western Stock Show.  She loved giraffes and her collection filled her home, it had to be seen to be believed.  Her giraffe ornament Christmas tree was featured in the Denver Post.

She will be remembered for her kind spirit, always willing to help someone who needed support.  In keeping with her giving spirit, she was an organ donor.

Liz is survived by her twin sister Christine Telea, and Christine’s fiancé Michael Hedges, and many cousins who have always been a big part of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held in her honor on Friday April 2, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel (3020 Federal Boulevard, Denver, Colorado).  Liz will be laid to rest with her mother and father at Riverside Cemetery in Brighton, Colorado.

In lieu of flowers the family would like to invite you to make memorial donations to the Denver Zoo in her name.
