Ella G. Thompson

Ella G. Thompson, most recently of Lakewood, Colorado passed away August 5, 2012 at the age of 90. Born February 28, 1922 in Little Britain, New York, Ella graduated from Walden High School with the class of 1939. She relocated to New Britain, Connecticut and worked for CIGNA Insurance for 32 years, retiring in 1988. Ella then began a series of travel adventures including living in Indiana, Pennsylvania and finally, Colorado. Known for her ferocious Scrabble game, fabulous apple crumb pie, energetic ""chicken dance"" and her engaging spirit, Ella was loved, and will be remembered by many. Ella is survived by her two children, Diane (Tom) T. McMeekin and Kenneth W. Thompson, sister Margaret Gorning, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her husband, Kenneth G. Thompson and her sister Lydia M. Roosa preceded her in death. A Celebration of her life will be held as her granddaughter's home in Littleton, Colorado on August 19, 2012 with burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Area B, Monday, August 20, 2012, 10:30am.
