Ellen Flak

Ellen A. Flak (nee Scott) passed away January 21, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Michael ""Mick"" Flak and her parents, L. C. and Eudora Scott. She is survived by her brother John (Janet) Scott, brothers-in-law John (Carolyn Sue) Flak and Robert (Diana) Flak, nieces Jill Scott (Nick Roy), Deborah (Tom) Mika, Denise (Joe) Madden, nephews Jeffrey Scott and John (Ann) Flak, Jr. and great nieces Caitlin and Lauren Madden. Ellen was a native of Illinois and graduated from Southern Illinois University where she met her husband. She was retired from Denver University and employed by Merlo Consulting Engineers. Her passions were bicycling, scuba diving, gardening, travel, and her beloved cats. A memorial reception is planned for 11:30 am on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Horan & McConaty in Centennial. In lieu of flowers, you may remember Ellen by donating to the pet charity of your choice, Bicycles for Humanity, or the Nature Conservancy.
