Elliott Stephen Woitalewicz passed away quietly October 11, 2006 at his home in Northglenn, Colorado. He was born November 25, 1939 in Loup City, Nebraska to Steven Louis and Clementine Kosmicki Woitalewicz. His family moved to Grant, Nebraska when he was a small boy. He attended Grant schools and graduated from Perkins County High School in 1957. He served four years in the U.S. Navy and two years in the Reserve. He was discharged in May of 1963. He met and married Carol Kay Repp of Julesburg, Colorado. A son, Ronald Ray was born while they lived in Julesburg. Elliott attended Chadron State College in Nebraska and worked part time for Dye's Hardware and later was employed by Harold Repp, learning the carpentry trade while living in Julesburg. Elliott transferred to University of Northern Colorado in Greeley at which time his wife transferred with Mountain State Telephone Company in Greeley. After their daughter Krystal Ann was born, Elliott elected to quit school and move to Denver and was self-employed doing carpenter work through out his life and worked part time at Montgomery Wards. He also was everyone's handyman. They bought their first home in 1966 and lived to the present. He enjoyed and won awards for decorating their home for the Christmas Season on numerous occasions. He bought his first season tickets to the Denver Broncos that year and was an avid fan from the start. He was an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He was a Grand Knight at the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree as well as Faithful Navigator of the 4th degree, District Deputy, and State Vocations Director for the Knights of Columbus. He traveled with the Knights to several States including his last trip to Orlando, Florida to the National Knights of Columbus Convention the first of August 2006. His other travels consisted of countries Medjugorje, Yugoslavia and Rome, Italy, and many places in the Untied States. Elliott did volunteer work for the Catholic food bank, Special Olympics, Paint-A-Thon. Senior Hub, Mother Cabrini Shrine, 9- Heath Fair and Coached Little League Baseball and was Election Commissioner for Northglenn plus many, many more. No was not in his vocabulary and he was always there to help. His greatest pleasure was watching his beautiful granddaughters grow up and attending all their school functions, from softball and volleyball games, school plays, and beauty pageants. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald of Minnesota. He is survived by Carol, his wife of 45 years, a son. Ron and wife Lisa of Littleton, Colorado, a daughter Krystal and husband Jerry Luthye of Northglenn, Colorado, Granddaughters Kayla Woitalewicz, Ashley and Mandy Luthye. Step Granddaughters, Erika, Sarah, and Jessica Meyers and Amber Casady. Step Grandsons Dillon Meyers and Brayden Cusick. Tricia and Steve Casady. Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, Colorado. Rosary on Sunday October 15th at 3:00 pm and Funeral Mass Monday October 16th at 11:00 am with interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Tuesday October 17th at 10:00 am.
