Elmer Windholz

Elmer ""Windy"" Windholz, 86 passed away May 15, 2010. He was born in Emmeram, Kansas July 23, 1923. A long time Colorado motor sports racing figure, ""Windy"" was also a veteran of the US Army Air Corp and a member of the American Legion and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He was preceded in death by his wife Sally Windholz and grandson Robert Bradley. Windy was the beloved father of four children Julie Bradley, John Windholz, Joyce Dechant, and Jennie Davis and grandfather to four surviving grandchildren Wayne Windholz, Sadie Davis, Nicole Dechant and Bradley Dechant. Visitation Sunday, May 23, 1:00-3:00 PM, followed by Rosary at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. Funeral Mass Monday, May 24, 9:30 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church, 1243 Kingston St, Aurora. There will be a reception following Mass. Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
