Elmo Goddard, 95 years old, of Denver passed away on February 28th, 2024 after a brief illness.
Elmo was born on January 6 th, 1929 to John and Beatrice Goddard in Denver, Colorado. Following graduation from high school, Elmo attended Denver University.
After college, Elmo went to work for Public Service Co. spending his career as a lineman and later going into management.
Elmo married Rosalie and went on to have 3 children, Tom, Tim, and Sheryl. Following Rosalie’s death, Elmo met and married Mary. Elmo and Mary traveled and split time between Denver, Breezy Point New York, and the Palm Springs area.
Elmo retired at 55 years old and was able to follow his passion of playing Senior league softball, playing into his 80’s. His hobby took him to different countries and many states for tournaments.
Elmo was predeceased by his first wife Rosalie and daughter Sheryl. He is survived by his second wife Mary, sons Tom (Karen) and Tim (Marybeth). Also survived by grandchildren Shane, Holly, Katie, Andrew, Chris, and Jasmine.
Services will be held March 15th, 2024 at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave. Denver, Co 80014.
A viewing will begin at 10:00 am and the service following at 11:00 am in the chapel.
