Eloise A. ""Dubby"" Souders

Born June 28, 1916 in Hitchcock County, Nebraska, near Palisade; died February 17, 2015 at Collier Hospice Center in Wheat Ridge, with 98 full years in between. Childhood in the Roaring 20's, came of age during the Great Depression, with her adult life passing through the beginning of Social Security - through World War II - through the Cold War - to the space age - to the information age; from horse and buggy and the early days of the automobile to the internet and beyond - from the farm, to town, to the city - from sod house to high rise apartment house. A life of work, and of service, and of love. Preceded in death by her husband, Dick Souders, she is survived by her children, Alan (Kathy) Souders and Anne Vilhauer; four grandchildren, Jack, Brandy, Margaret and Michael; and four great grandchildren, Zachary, Madeline, Christian and Jane. Visitation will be Friday, February 20th from 1pm-4pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3020 Federal Boulevard, Denver. A Rosary will be held on Saturday, February 21st at 10am, Saint Dominic Catholic Church, 2905 Federal Boulevard, Denver, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11am. Interment will take place on Monday, February 23rd at 9:30am, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area ""B"", 3698 S. Sheridan Boulevard, Denver. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Dominic's Catholic Church or Collier Hospice Center at Lutheran Medical Center.
