Elsie E. Crowe, Denver native, passed the morning of August 6, 2015, in Salem, Oregon. Born October 3, 1915, she didn't make her goal of 100, but she came close, living to 99 years and 10 months. She lived through two World Wars, the Great Depression, the Cold War and the new Millennia. She saw her daughters raised, their three children raised and then her great grandchildren born. The oldest of seven children, she started poor. She sorted beans at the Ady and Crowe grain elevator where she met her husband, Leo. Over the years, she went into sales and eventually rose to manage an office store, Kistler-Kwill, in downtown Denver. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roxie and Jennie Pachelo; and her husband, Leo Crowe. Elsie is survived by her sister, Eleanor Ross; daughters, Gerry Leck and Mary Ann Eichman; grandchildren, Dennis (Charlotte) Fisher, Valerie Sadlik and Michelle (Jeff) Likes; and great-grandchildren, Libby, Logan, Bailey and Hanna. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 14, 2015, 10:30 AM, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4200 Federal Boulevard, in Denver, Colorado. Interment, Fairmount Cemetery.
